展覧会の告知ページより
オーストラリアのビクトリア国立美術館で、ヴィヴィアン?ウエストウッドと川久保玲のデザイナー2人にフォーカスした国際展覧会「Westwood | Kawakubo」が12月7日から2026年4月19日まで開催される。
同展では、1941年英国生まれのヴィヴィアン?ウエストウッドと、1942年日本生まれの川久保玲という、それぞれ異なる国と文化的背景のもとで1970年代にキャリアをスタートさせた2人が、ファッションの学校に通わず独学で築き上げてきた独創的なクリエイションをフィーチャー。同美術館が所蔵するコレクションに加えて、海外の美術館や個人のコレクションから厳選した140点以上の作品を「Punk and Provocation（パンクと挑発）」「Rupture（断絶）」「Reinvention（再発明）」「The Body and The Power of Clothes（ボディと衣服の力）」という4つのテーマに分けて展示し、両者の共鳴点と相違点を浮き彫りにする。

海外メディアの報道によると、ウエストウッドの作品がオーストラリアで広く展示されるのは20年以上ぶりで、同美術館での展示は2022年12月の死後初。また、140点以上の展示作品うち、40点以上は「コム デ ギャルソン（COMME des GAR?ONS）」からの寄贈品になるという。
